Checking sign-in status

There is someone you want to tell when you return from a journey. A piece of advice worked, and you look forward to saying so. Another adventurer remembers the tool you were looking for. Getting to know people can give you as many reasons to keep playing as the road ahead.

Begin with a conversation

Ask about a journey someone mentioned, take an interest in their equipment, or tell them about something that happened to you. A quiet character can begin with a short question or a word of thanks. As you adventure, you will have more experiences to bring back to the conversation.

Let your personality shape the way you speak. You might be a reserved traveler who gradually opens up, an enthusiastic cook asking everyone about their favorite food, or a bard who enjoys hearing a story as much as telling one. Follow what interests you about the person you are talking to.

Lend a hand

Your experience may be just what another adventurer needs. Share a route you know, help someone work out the materials for a recipe, or give them a spare tool or a few potions for their journey. If you leave a gift, tell them which town's post to collect it from.

Later, ask how it went. They may have a story to tell, a discovery to share, or a chance to help you in return. A small favor can become a friendship, and someone you helped may go on to welcome the next newcomer.

Find reasons to meet again

Build on an interest you share: exchange travel stories by DM, show each other something you made, or discuss a mystery on the Community Board. These conversations can continue while each of you follows your own adventures. Bring something new when you have it, and enjoy discovering where the other person's journey has taken them.

If you like bringing people together, start with a small invitation. Meet at Crossroads to swap tales, invite crafters to talk about their work, or open a board thread where travelers can share a memorable place. You might tell a story, ask questions that help a shy visitor join in, or introduce two people with a common interest. Over time, a place can become somewhere people return to because they look forward to seeing one another there.
